Also referred to as Chapman's reflexes, they refer to specific areas of the body that enhance lymphatic drainage in various glands and organs when stimulated.
The Neurolymphatic reflexes (or NL reflexes) are a connection between the nervous system and the lymph system. Stimulating the proper neurolymphatic reflex will change lymphatic flow and can balance the Meridian's energy.
These Reflexes are located mainly on the chest and on the back and are stimulated with firm massage for about 30 seconds. These range in size from a small dot to bands of tissue running down the sides of the legs (for example) and can sometimes be felt by the practitioner.
Frank Chapman, an osteopath, first described them. He published his discovery in his 1929 text: “Lymphatic Reflexes, a Specific Method of Diagnosis and Treatment”.
