(Articulationes Metatarsophalangeae)
The metatarsophalangeal articulations are of the condyloid kind, formed by the reception of the rounded heads of the metatarsal bones in shallow cavities on the ends of the first phalanges.
The ligaments are the plantar and two collateral.
 
Movements
