Description

Stress is a central concept for most kinesiologies, but the word is usually used in a broad context to include not only psychological stress but many other types of stress (e.g. allergies, nutritional imbalances, problems with hand-eye co-ordination, postural misalignment, etc.). Many kinesiologists use the analogy of a bucket: each stress in our life increases the total load in the bucket. If we do not deal with the stress appropriately, the bucket will overflow and symptoms will appear.   The kinesiologist seeks to defuse or remove or correct the stress – different terms are used by different practitioners and kinesiology systems. Because muscle testing is used to establish the priority, kinesiologists believe that whatever is stressing the system can be removed without causing further stress, and that the practitioner will only be given permission to proceed when the person is ready to address the issue or problem.
