How to find
First, locate BL 60 (Kunlun Mountains) in the depression between the highest prominence of the lateral malleolus and the Achilles tendon. With oedema of the lower leg, the depression is not visible but palpable. From BL 60 (Kunlun Mountains), measure 1.5 cun in a distal direction. There, locate BL-61 in a depression on the calcaneus, approxi- mately on the midpoint of a line connecting the sole of the foot and BL 60 (Kunlun Mountains).
Location
On the lateral aspect of the heel, 1.5 cun inferior to BL 60 (Kunlun Mountains) (in the depression between the highest prominence of the lateral malleolus and the Achilles tendon), in a depression on the calcaneus.
